Lend Your Voice to the Singing Resistance!

Sunday, February 22, 4:00-5:30 PM, Sanctuary

Do you like to sing? Are you interested in using music to work for justice? If so, you are invited to join us 4-5:30 pm February 22 in the sanctuary. We’ll share more information and begin to learn songs together.

These are the organizing principles from this nation-wide movement:

We are building a large movement of singers that is radically welcoming.

In the context of rising authoritarianism, we believe we need a mass civil resistance that uses a diversity of tactics including noncooperation, protest, and mutual aid.

We take regular action, grounded in solidarity and noncooperation.

We sing not only for the world we want to create, but to create that world right here and now.

We seek to end all oppressive systems.

We sing songs that are simple, taught by ear, are relevant to these times, and that communicate deep themes of grief, solidarity, love, resistance, and more.
