Exploring Membership

Mondays, June 1 & 15, 6-8 p.m.

Have you been thinking about church membership? Do you want to know more about becoming a member, our faith and our church? You’re invited to join us for our two-session Exploring Membership class from 6-8 p.m. on Mondays, June 1 and 15, in the Walker Room.

We’ll go into depth about the history of UUism, our theology, how we conduct our church business, our community events, and the advantages of becoming a member. Each session covers different material so we encourage you to attend both classes. If you can only attend one, we can provide material from the other class. If you’re not interested in membership now but want more information about us, we invite you to attend, too.

Although we’ll meet in person, you can attend virtually on Zoom; contact the church office manager at [email protected] or 309-828-0235 if this is your preference. If having child care would enable you to attend these classes, please contact the office manager by May 18.

If you decide to become a member, you’ll have the opportunity to sign the membership book at our June 28 Sunday service. Then we’ll celebrate with cake afterward!
