The purpose of the Membership-Outreach Team is to attract, recruit and retain members and to raise community awareness of the existence, ministries, and activities of the congregation.

Here’s what we do: 

• On behalf of the Membership-Outreach Team, the Welcome Team greets visitors and members on Sunday mornings, helping to orient them to the church and answering questions they may have.
• Offer two classes for newcomers to provide information about our church and our faith
  • New(ish) to UUBN: one-session class with basic information
  • Exploring Membership: two-session class with more detailed information, including benefits of membership, that leads to becoming a UUBN member
• Host table displays at various community events to acquaint people with our congregation, our values and our faith
• Host drop-in Lunch Bunch on Mondays at 11:30 am: people bring their sack lunches and socialize
• Sponsor Dinners for 8: groups of church members and friends meet to socialize
• Host an All Ages Service Sunday morning potluck and an annual New Member Recognition Potluck
• Recognize member milestone anniversaries
