There are so many ways to be involved!

• Worship Associates help Reverend Rebecca with details of the Sunday services or special events and sometimes  
  • Brainstorm with Rev. Rebecca and the team to choose hymns, music, readings, etc, and to develop the idea for the service
  • Find readers for the service 
  • Add creativity to a service through slides, art, music
  • Create the service script, following a template
  • Assist with Sunday service duties as applicable
  • Offer support for other Worship Associates
  • Create and lead lay-led services with support from the team and Rev. Rebecca
• Readers read poems or other readings during the service either from home, on Zoom, or in the Sanctuary
• Visual Artists/engineers help decorate the chancel with items that enhance the message of a worship service or series of worship services 
• Media Artists help create videos, slides to enhance the message
• Musical Artists play or sing to enhance the message of the services
• Ritual Artists create embodied experiences for those attending worship
• Verbal Artists create poetry, dramatic readings, liturgy to be used in worship

How much time does all this take?? 

• Rehearsal Sunday mornings at 8:45 a.m. if you are the worship associate. 
• Quarterly Planning Retreats for all interested
  • Generally about 3 hours on a weekend.  We set the time/date together. 
• Respond to emails
