New(ish) to UUBN
September 7, 2021 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
An event every week that begins at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, repeating until October 6, 2021
Adults and high school youth who are new(ish) to Unitarian Universalism or our church will learn more about our faith and our congregation in these five sessions. Attendance for the full series is recommended but not required. If you’re considering membership, just started attending Sunday services, or realize you have things to learn after being at UUBN for a while, your questions will (possibly) be answered here.
The class addresses important themes in Unitarian Universalist congregational life: worship and theology, history, covenant and polity, religious education or faith development, social justice, and membership. There are opportunities to interact and share your experiences as you’re comfortable. While Terina will be your host/facilitator for all 5 sessions, members of the congregation will join in to share their areas of interest.
We’ll meet Tuesdays online from 6:00-7:30
- September 7 – Where We Come From
- September 14 – How We Grow
- September 21 – Social Justice Philosophy and Practice
- September 28 – Theology and Worship
- October 5 – How Decisions are Made
