Carle Faith Community Partners
Our congregation was part of the Delegate Church Association for decades. We are excited to widen the circle and welcome the change in name to Faith Community Partners. In support of the Carle Health mission, Partners strive to be spiritual leaders in community, healing, and wholeness for all through mutual education, reflection, and action.
Partner in Healing
For many years, faith communities have provided comfort through prayer or other forms of sacred support to patients, their families, and staff at Carle Bromenn Medical Center, Carle Eureka Hospital, and the Carle Cancer Institute Normal. More than 40 faith communities actively participated in Partners in Healing in 2022. Those partners are asked to intentionally concentrate on the patients, families, and staff of their assigned unit. Some pray. Some send good thoughts or blessings. Some use other words to describe their support for the unit.
In 2024, our congregation is asked to keep in good thoughts, prayers, or blessings, the staff of the Simulation Center. The Simulation Center offers hospital staff the chance to learn and practice skills in a supportive environment. Our church name is on a sign on the wall of the unit noting the 2024 Partner in Healing assignment.
Compassion Closet
Faith communities organize efforts to provide new clothing to the closets at Carle Bromine Medical Center and Carle Eureka Hospital. We have been devoted donors to the Carle BroMenn Medical Center’s Compassion Closet for many years. By providing clean new clothing, the Compassion Closet enables people to leave the hospital – most often from the Emergency Department – with dignity when their own clothes have been discarded. Bring all sizes of new sweatshirts, t-shirts, and sweatpants to the collection basket in the Fell Room.
Compassion Squares
We are in the unique position of being an inclusive faith partner. We make Compassion Squares to be given to patients and family members, along with notes written from a place of love.
Create squares on your own schedule or check the church calendar for a small group gathering.
Use a soft, clean yarn to create a square that’s about 4 inches by 4 inches.

Deliver completed Compassion Squares to the collection basket in the church’s Fell Room.
