Activity Groups

Baroque'n Consort

Recorder Group meets to rehearse Thursday evenings at 7:00 at the Church. Baroque’n Consort, which was started in 1989, is an ecumenical group (currently about 4-6) musicians who play various recorders (including garklein, sopranino, soprano, alto, tenor, F bass & C Bass) as well as guitar, mandolin, bassoon, flute, clarinet, keyboard, cello, harp and viola da gamba at various times. Rehearsals are held weekly on Thursday nights from 7-9 pm. Styles of music include Renaissance and Baroque as well as contemporary music written for recorders. The group performs for church services, weddings, receptions and service organizations.

Emerson Street Singers (ESS)

Children's choir, Grades 1st to 6th. See Church Calendar for weekly rehearsal time.

Fairly Frequent Singers (FFS)

Youth choir, Grades 7th to 12th. See Church Calendar for weekly rehearsal time.

Investment Club

Two clubs in the Church have joint meetings on the third Wednesday night of each month.

Ladies' Sewing Circle and (Terrorist) Activist Society

Anyone who enjoys handywork (knit, crochet, beadwork, sewing, quilts, ETC.) and who want to spend quality time with other church members is welcome to participate on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month, between 6:30 and 9pm (or whatever time is best for you) in the Walker room at the UUCBN. Please bring a project to work on and a personal beverage/snack if desired.

Lunch Bunch

The Lunch Bunch meets every Monday at noon in the Fell Room of the Church for conversation with their "brown bag". Politics, gossip, and timely topics! Everyone is welcome! Someone once asked if the Lunch Bunch would meet on a particular holiday and was told, "The Lunch Bunch ALWAYS meets!"

Men's Group

The Men's Group meets every other Thursday evening at 5:30 in various local resturants for dinner and conversation. Please see the Schedule for meetings.
